**JOB SUMMARY**Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Partnerships, this position is responsible for providing strategic advisory and operational support services in human resources services to an assigned portfolio within the AGLC. This position will support the development and implementation of strategic human resource programs through its day-to-day interactions with management and employees in the organization. Using their knowledge of the organization and the business goals and priorities, the incumbent will partner with business leaders with respect to all people matters and programs such as people resource planning, performance management, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, recruitment, and employee & labour relations.

You will contribute to our team:

- As a trusted advisor to the business leaders with respect to all people matters and programs such as, people resource planning, performance management, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, recruitment, and employee & labour relations.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships to support client portfolios and overall organizational needs.
- Council and influence business leaders by proactively partnering on organizational issues, initiatives and complex business changes that have a people impact.
- Utilize metrics to measure success for high value Business Partner services.
- Council and educate business leaders on positive and effective employee relations.
- Involvement or participation in other corporate initiatives and special projects as required.
- Advocate and support Diversity, Inclusion, Respect and Collaboration within your assigned Divisions and the organization as a whole.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- A related University Degree and a minimum of five(5) years of diversified and progressive HR professional experience, including (2) two years of directly related labour relations experience is required. Preference will be given to those with more than 5 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience working as a business partner in a full range of Human Resources services is essential.
- Experience in interpreting and administering collective agreements, participating in discipline & grievance proceedings is essential.
- Proven ability of establishing strong and collaborative working relationships with clients, coworkers and unions is expected
- Knowledge of employment related legislation and current employment practices.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills, proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Committed to continuous learning (internal and external to the organization).
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Experience with Hay Group job evaluation is an asset.
CPHR designation is desirable.
