**Ophthalmologist - Oculoplastic**

**Part-time - 0.33 FTE**

Delta Hospital is recruiting a part-time ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in oculoplastics and orbit. Excellent surgical skills are essential and a one-year post-residency fellowship in oculoplastics and orbit is mandatory. Establishment of a permanent office within the Fraser Health Authority is also required. Three years of post-training practice experience is required. A commitment to community service, research, and teaching is expected.

In accordance with standards of practice and working collaboratively and in partnership with the inter-professional care team in the provision of person-centered care, the Ophthalmologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the eye, in addition to diagnosing systemic disease that manifest in eye signs or symptoms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnosing, treating and helping prevent diseases and injuries of the eyes and related structures.
- Committing to community service, research and teaching, as required.

Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**

Medical degree and registration with the Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and registry with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC). Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
