Dispatch Logistics Coordinator

We are hiring a full-time Dispatch Logistics Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide information and updates to both internal and external stakeholders, which can include team members, management, and external partners.
- Perform data entry tasks and maintain departmental databases with a strong focus on accuracy to ensure the availability of up-to-date and reliable information.
- Coordinate work schedules to prevent and mitigate potential operational conflicts, ensuring the efficient use of resources and staff.
- You will play a essential role in ensuring that the transportation department functions efficiently, meets its financial goals, and provides excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and dispatch transportation resources, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods or passengers.
- Monitor routes and schedules to optimize transportation efficiency and respond to any changes or delays.
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Receive and respond to inquiries concerning scheduling, and other trucking related questions.

**Requirements**:

- Dispatch and/or logistics experience, an asset.
- Experience in the trucking industry and a broad knowledge of trucking.

Typical work week:

- Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.
- There will be calls outside normal business hours on occasion.

Wage: 28.00 to 32.00 per hour

Additional compensation for on call time.
