Collingwood, Canada Superior Facility Services Full time

Superior Facility Services is a family owned company providing laundry and housekeeping services to long term care and retirement facilities for over 30 years. We are searching for permanent casual housekeeping aides for one of our locations in Collingwood Ontario.

Must provide Vulnerable Sector Police Check and 2 Step TB Test.

**Duties**:
Follow job routines to maintain overall cleanliness of facility; sweep, mop and wash floors; dust furniture; vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture; clean, disinfect fixtures; disinfect rooms and other areas; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; clean and disinfect elevators; handle and report lost and found items; pick up debris and empty trash containers.

Working Conditions:
Must enjoy working with seniors and bring a positive can do attitude to work everyday.

Involves pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
- Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and paper products
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Follow established procedures for infection control and safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and address their needs promptly

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools for basic facilities maintenance
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
