Arborist

_Battle River Power Coop is a cooperative electric utility in Central Alberta supplying electricity to about 8700 rural members. We have a staff of about 63 employees engaged in all aspects of power distribution from installation to maintenance to billing, all administered from the same office near Camrose, Alberta._

**Utility Arborist / Arborist Apprentice**

**General Summary**:

- Safety orientated and focused
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work at heights exceeding 50ft

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous vegetation maintenance experience and UTT Certification is considered an asset but not required (willing to train)
- Willing to perform labor intensive work in all weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 License with clean driver’s abstract (5 year)
- Chainsaw Safety Certification considered an asset
- First Aid/CPR
- WHMIS Certification

**Hours of Operation**: Hours of operation are generally 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, four days a week.
