This Technician position is within the Supply Chain Department at our Animal Health facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The Charlottetown facility manufactures vaccines and biologics used within aquaculture farming.

Leveraging an experienced and innovative team environment, the key technologies at the site Support the receipt of incoming materials and put away. Ensure timely issuance of materials to production. Participate in all finished goods pack outs and screenings as per Federal Canadian Civil Aviation Security procedures as needed. Provide support for Domestic & International shipments of products according to CFIA & recipient country specifications.

The Charlottetown facility is part of our global Animal Health Manufacturing Division network and is a key contributor to the manufacturing of animal health products. Working within one of the manufacturing operations teams you will be expected to be able to work independently and as part of the team to contribute to the daily completion and schedule adherence of production activities.

The Supply Chain team is made up of members that carry out the receiving and shipping of raw materials as well as finished products, resupply of production areas and packaging of final products.

The position requires someone who can demonstrate a good attention to detail and achieve a consistent error-free execution of daily job responsibilities, be able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices and be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and employ basic problem-solving skills.

**Education Minimum Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- One or more years of experience working in a warehousing shipping environment.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift, move and maneuver small-medium sized equipment - up to 50lbs.
- Able to follow/comply with Manufacturing Directions, Standard Operating Procedures, Company/Corporate/Regulatory Policies.
- Ability to demonstrates basic skills in effective time management to meet given deadlines.
- Able to work effectively with team members and show initiative to support others on the team when needed.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

**Preferred Education, Experience and Skills**:

- A 2-year college diploma.
- Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices environment.
- Experience with one or more of the following processes: International logistics, packaging and receiving inbound freight.
- Experience performing investigations.
- Experience using continuous improvement processes (lean and 5S processes)
- Intermediate mathematical skills preferred.
- Forklift or Lift Truck experience.
- SAP warehouse management or Radio Frequency (RF) scanners experience.
- Previous experience in visual inspections would be beneficial.

**Other Requirements and Information**:

- Must be able to work 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday) and overtime as required.
- Required to assist in disinfection procedures involving hazardous chemicals requiring the use of a respirator.
- Requires ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Requires frequent ladder or stair climbing.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and comply with appropriate standard operating procedures.
