Study of theoretical foundations, current research, relevant support documents, methods and models of the kindergarten program; knowledge of the 3 to 6 years old children's development stages; knowledge and understanding in the design, implementation and assessment of the program; creation of partnerships with early childhood educator teams, family, school and community; knowledge of curriculum.

- Master's degree in education.
- Specialist qualification recognized by the College of Teacher of Ontario.
- Recent experience in teaching full time in a school or working in administration for a School Board.
