**POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY**:
The Suite Cleaner, guided by the vision, mission, and values of the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, Inc. and IRCOM House Inc., will ensure that the suites of IRCOM House Inc. are maintained in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition. This role is essential for providing a pleasant living environment for all current and future residents.

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager or designate, this position will carry out the following:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Living Areas**:

- Dust all surfaces, including shelves, baseboards, and ceiling fans.
- Wipe down furniture with appropriate cleaners to remove stains and smudges.
- Mop hard floors using suitable cleaners to maintain shine and hygiene.
- Wash walls and baseboards.
- Wipe down windows to a streak-free finish.
- **Kitchens**:

- Clean countertops, cabinets, and stovetops with disinfectant.
- Scrub sinks and faucets to remove stains and buildup.
- Clean inside and outside of appliances, including microwaves, refrigerators, and ovens.
- Sweep and mop the floor, ensuring no spills or debris remain.
- Clean behind and beneath furniture and appliances.
- Wash walls, windows, and baseboards.
- **Bathrooms**:

- Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs.
- Wipe down mirrors and glass surfaces to a streak-free finish.
- Mop the floor, paying special attention to corners and behind fixtures.
- Wash walls, windows, and baseboards.
- **Bedrooms**:

- Dust all surfaces; vacuum carpets or mop hard flooring.
- Wash walls and baseboards
- Wipe down windows to a streak-free finish.
- Clean countertops, cabinets, and stovetops with disinfectant.
- Remove any personal items left behind by residents and report them to management. Wash walls, windows, and baseboards.

**Team and Inter-departmental Support**
- Follow all IRCOM guidelines regarding cleaning procedures, equipment care and use, and health and safety regulations as per the IRCOM House Operations Manual.
- Train and supervise volunteer cleaners as assigned.
- Report any tenant concerns, safety issues, or repair requirements to the Building Supervisor.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager or designate.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ability to work independently
- Good listening, reading, and communication skills in English
- Basic computer skills
- Must be physically able to lift 30 kg
- Must be available to work on weekends
- Ability to learn to use cleaning tools and equipment
- Effective cross-cultural relational skills
- Present a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and clear Child Abuse Registry Check
- Demonstrate the qualities and values IRCOM seeks for all employees (See IRCOM Careers)

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping roles is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment; understanding of proper cleaning techniques.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleaning; excellent time management skills.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- WHMIS training
- Fluency in additional languages

**HOURS OF WORK**:
This is a casual, on-call position where hours may occur at any time during weekdays, some evenings, and weekends, depending on scheduling needs.

**WAGE**:
$15.80/hour
