Construction Labourer

**Role**
- Reporting to the Area Manager, the role of Labourer is to assist crew leads with general labour including digging, lifting and general clean-up of the job site. The Labourer is also responsible to be able to safely use basic hand tools and drive company vehicles, when needed._ _

**_Responsibility_**
- _ Work in a fast paced outdoor environment, in various weather conditions, including digging, lifting, and moving equipment and material_
- _
- _Provide general clean up and ongoing maintenance of the job site _
- _Shovel snow on job site, when needed_
- _
- _Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, when needed, and report vehicle maintenance requirements to the Site Supervisor_
- _
- _Assist equipment operators with securing special attachments to equipment, and guide them in moving equipment/materials on job site_
- _
- _General understanding of basic hand tools and the ability to use them_
- _

**_Requirements_**
- _ Completion of a level of education equivalent to Grade 10 required_
- _
- _High School diploma preferred_
- _
- _Minimum of 1 year construction experience preferably in medium to high-voltage industry required _
- _Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions_
- _ Must be able to lift 55lbs_
- _ Must have class 5 Driver's License with an acceptable driving record_
- _ Must be able to work various shift including weekends and afterhours_
- _ Must be able to climb ladders and work at a height of at least 9 feet_
- _ Must be able to understand and read English_
- _ Valid CSTS certification (Construction Safety Training System) preferred_
- _ Successful completion of Alcohol & Drug testing is a requirement for this position_
