French Montessori Rece

We are looking for a great French speaking person to join our school Prior experience is appreciated; someone that is a RECE would be looked at as an asset.

The contract will go from the last week in August 2023 to the end of June 2024. Contract renewals will happen in the spring of 2024 for the following school year. If the person applies before the current school year finishes we may be able to use the person for some supply work.

The hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00am
- 4:30pm, from September to June.

Responsibilities of the job:

- To speak only in French to the children/ adults in the classroom
- To assist the Montessori teacher in creating a classroom environment in keeping with the Montessori philosophy
- To assist the Montessori teacher with cleaning and material making
- To assist children with diapering and toilet learning
- To take part in any staff meetings and school functions

Desired work experience:

- Experience with children is necessary.
- We are looking for someone that loves to be around children and has a high regard for their learning and self esteem.

Education and skills:

- French level of Grade 12 or higher and/or preferably as a first language. We are looking for someone that has interest in the Montessori philosophy and/or experience working in a Montessori school.
- Someone that is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) is an asset.

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
