**Who we are**

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa in Victoria is a luxurious 5-star hotel with 91 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom, and conference facilities. The hotel is part of the Westin brand, which falls under the Marriott umbrella. The hotel also features a state-of-the-art spa and serenity pool.

**About the position**

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa offers estate style gardening, surrounded by natural mountain views. The gardeners are responsible for maintaining and renovating all exterior garden beds, extensive pot arrangements, baskets and hard surfaces for the perimeter of the Hotel. As well as interior plant and flower arrangements, some event displays and holiday décor.

We are very focused on all views being maintained at a high service standard through all four seasons, so our guests can enjoy our grounds year-round. Horticulture experience is strongly advised, creativity is appreciated and a passion for gardening and beautiful spaces is a must.

This is a seasonal position and hours are flexible.

**What you need**
- A passion for plants and gardening
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Willing to work in all weather conditions -cold, rain and heat
- Self-starter that can work unsupervised, but also works well in a team
- Comfortable operating tools/machinery - lawn mower, hedge trimmer, weed-wacker, pole pruner, golf cart and possibly tractor
- Can accomplish repetitive tasks such as weeding, planting, pruning

**What we offer**

Our location atop Bear Mountain Resort in Langford offers convenience to our commuting employees. We provide free on-site parking for those with their own vehicles. **Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
