The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools - 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, near the best sites and attractions that Vancouver and British Columbia has to offer. ABOUT

St. Edmund's School is located in the beautiful and scenic city of North Vancouver, near a myriad of shops, art galleries, parks, hiking trails, and the bustling Lonsdale Quay Market. St. Edmund's is among the oldest Roman Catholic Schools in the Greater Vancouver Area, having opened in 1911. At that time, the dedicated Sisters of the Child Jesus, along with lay teachers and support staff, ran the school. Although the school has celebrated its centennial, the mission of St. Edmund's has changed very little - we still focus on the importance of building a faith community. As a Catholic school we share in the mission of the Church and believe that Christ's teaching must be "lived" as well as "taught".

Required skills include:

- An ability to multitask effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A professional telephone manner
- Adhere to rigorous student and staff confidentiality protocols in all circumstances
- An ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form
- Excellent organizational skills
- Competent in working with all aspects of Office 365 as well as working knowledge of G Suite & MyEdBC
- Perform minor first aid as required

Of the highest importance are very strong people skills. The secretary engages with a variety of students, parents, and staff on a daily basis.
