**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Based at the Macassa Mine, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an **Electrical Draftsperson** to join our Maintenance team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

The **Electrical Draftsperson** is considered capable and within qualification to install, repair and make good items in planned and unplanned maintenance.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Use Computer aided software such as Autocad, technical handbooks, tables, calculators, manufactures specs, and electrical code to create electrical schematics
- Draft working drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection specifications
- Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets
- Work with Electrical Planner and Electrical supervision for cost estimates and accuracy of conformation to standards
- Collect information and data about project sites for detailed plan for installation such as distances/clearances etc.
- Assist with design of electrical systems with feedback and input from Electrical staff
- Visit work sites and prepare rough sketches of location, obtain survey drawings from survey department for cut views and stope/drift layouts
- Reproduce working drawings and edit as-builts
- Prepare technical reports for internal use
- Maintain feeder single line diagrams and edit as needed
- Develop wire schedules and tables for installations
- Create work orders using SAP
- Proficient with excel spread sheets
- Understanding of Electrical Code

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Licensed Electrician (Ontario)
- Must be able to read and understand electrical prints
- Must have good communication and leadership skills
- Able to set priorities and work with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of Lockout: high voltage switching and de-energizing cables
- Ability to competently use a multi-meter/megger insulation tester
