Job Title: Relief Superintendent

**Must be able to live on site**

**Duties**:

- To assist the Superintendent and Property Manager by always maintaining your building at high standards.
- To expand your skills, especially those in which you are least experienced, so that you will become a more competent relief-superintendent.
- To provide professional and prompt service to residents who report problems. maintenance, custodial care and non-routine repairs in a professional manner.
- Follow all applicable safety protocols including the Personnel policies as amended and updated from time to time which includes training provided by the company.
- To assist in protecting building owner’s investments in the property by carrying out regularly scheduled inspections.
- Maintain a harmonious, but formal, relationship with the highest standards of professional standards to all residents.
- Be courteous to all present and prospective residents, trades and other management staff. Never argue with a resident.
- Be responsible for the security of your building by rigidly controlling master keys.
- Maintain an ongoing daily log of activities, equipment failures, and all potential issues that may become important at a later date.
- Inspect and assign all emergency repairs to the appropriate contractor and advise the Superintendent/ Properly Manager of status or work completed.
- Supervise all work done by outside trades by recording time in and out and materials used.
- Report in writing any deficiencies of any nature for your building to the Superintendent/Property manager.
- Perform landscaping, salting and snow clearing from the sidewalk as requested by the Property Manager.
- Clean all common areas including entrances, laundry room and exits daily

You are required to have a high school education and basic computer skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5N 1N3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
