**Community Engagement Lead - **Northwest Toronto Community Crisis Service (Full Time Permanent)**:
**The Role and Opportunity**:
The Canadian Mental Health Association - Toronto Branch is looking for a Community Engagement Lead (CEL) for the Toronto Community Crisis Support (TCCS) Services Program. This service provides 24/7 support to people experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis in northwest Toronto. This program is part of a City of Toronto police reform initiative that is evaluating the effectiveness and impact of non-police-led responses to people experiencing non-violent crises. This program aims to reduce the harms experienced by people who have mental health and addictions challenges as well as Black, Indigenous, racialized, LGBTQ2+ and other marginalized individuals. The TCCS Program is governed in partnership with a Collaborative which includes the following organizations:

- Black Creek Community Health Centre
- Black Health Alliance
- Canadian Mental Health Association Toronto
- Caribbean African Canadian Social Services
- Jane Finch Centre
- Rexdale Community Health Centre
- Yorktown Family Services

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Toronto Community Crisis Support Services Program and partnering with the Toronto Community Crisis Support Services Collaborative, the Community Engagement Lead (CEL) will be responsible for planning, leading and participating in outreach and engagement activities to build relationships with key community stakeholders, increase awareness of the program and foster meaningful change.

The CEL will develop and provide ongoing support to the Northwest TCCS Community Advisory Group to create and sustain meaningful participation and engagement. The CEL will participate on the City of Toronto’s city-wide Community Advisory Table.

The CEL will provide consultation and support to the TCCS team on outreach and engagement strategies to facilitate appropriate and effective outreach.

The CEL will participate in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the TCCS. The role expectation includes being proactive and taking initiative in identifying and implementing quality improvement opportunities.

**Salary : $67,938 - 78,748**
