**Job Purpose**

As part of a 3-person team, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing full cycle in-house payroll processing and benefits administration support for payrolls for multiple properties across Southwestern Ontario.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Accurately enter and support payroll data into Payworks system, and process multiple bi-weekly payrolls for up to1,300+ employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates, deduction calculations & remittances, EHT, WSIB.
- Year-end completion including T4s, Annual EHT returns and WSIB reconciliations.
- Administer benefits program with the timely enrolment of new members, execute employee deductions, terminate coverage, and ensure the review & payment of monthly invoicing.
- Identify process gaps and system improvements to reduce the current manual intervention in transferring time and attendance into payroll, tracking vacation/statutory holiday/sick time banks and related adjustments.

**What we would like you to bring to the position**:

- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Post-secondary Diploma and/or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience administering full cycle Canadian payroll, preferably within a dynamic organization with 7 days by 24 hours operation (hourly & salary).
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Word, Excel, Outlook.
