**Job Summary**: The HACCP Coordinator leads the organization’s effort to develop its HACCP Plan and to develop, implement, and maintain HACCP System. The HACCP Coordinator also is responsible for managing PRPs and SQF systems program in place.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

1) Spearhead the development of HACCP and PRPs system program in place.

2) Monitor HACCP and PRPs to ensure procedures are properly carried out.

3) Review and evaluate all records for accuracy and completeness and determine need for process improvement.

4) Develop and implement training plans for HACCP, GMP, SQF, BRC, allergen control, SOPs, SSOPs, policies and all required site programs required.

5) Perform mock recalls and ensure identification, labeling, and traceability system functions as planned.

6) Conduct HACCP team meetings and required HACCP review.

7) Analyze processes, identify trends and anomalies, and continuously evaluate plant programs for improvement.

8) Ensure all food safety-related documents and records are controlled and that current issues are in use.

9) Keep informed of food safety laws (Canada and United States) and regulations.

10) Implementation of the SQF Quality Code.

11) Act as backup SQF Practitioner.

12) Any other associated duties.

**Qualifications**:
1. Degree in Agricultural Science, Biological Science or Food Technology.

2. Knowledge of Safe Quality Foods Systems (SQF).

3. Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).

4. Knowledge of Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP).

5. Food Safety or HACCP Training certificate and SQF Practitioner Certificate.

6. System oriented; capable of implementing appropriate quality controls within the operational divisions.

7. Strength of mind and determination to ensure that the quality standards are maintained, together with flexibility to recognize commercial realities.

8. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

9. Proven leadership skills, with ability to work well in a team environment.

10. Knowledge of Safe Food for Canadians Regulation (SFCR).

11. Knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

12. Flexibility for occasional weekend work and on call.

13. Must have 2-5 years of expirience in similar role.
