We are currently seeking a Director, Procurement and Supply Chain Management to join our team within Bedford, NS. We offer a hybrid work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Play a pivotal role in spearheading and cultivating the growth of the procurement and supply chain function within the organization.
- Oversee all lease agreements related to facilities, equipment, and other operational assets. Ensure compliance with lease terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with facility management teams to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all facilities.
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including inventory, warehousing, and distribution of medical equipment.
- Leverage technology, analyze sales performance and establish and maintain inventory levels for all sites/types of inventory to meet demand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Lead pricing negotiations with vendors to optimize procurement processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize procurement and supply chain operations in alignment with business objectives and market demands.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare industry standards.
- Mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions to operations.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, participate in creating and supporting whole company initiatives, contributing on behalf of your department.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; master’s degree would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related roles, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Experience with a third-party logistics would be considered an asset.
- Proven team leadership, able to work with project team members at all levels to meet deliverable deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing strategies to drive cost savings, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
