**Responsibilities**
- Ensure on-time shipment of assigned orders while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Be highly responsive to inquiries from internal and external customers and provide regular updates on order status.
- Follow up orders in backlog, work closely with necessary departments to resolve potential order delays.
- Review and analyze new demand, confirm ship dates to internal and external customers, production orders.
- Review and plan assigned orders completely including scheduling jobs in-house and sourcing from suppliers and subsidiaries.
- Review capacity and discuss with other departments to take make / buy decisions.
- Prepare and maintain documents such as routing cards, production schedules, work orders and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities.
- Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, sales, production and engineering.
- Short term capacity planning, workload smoothing and manufacturing scheduling using SAP.
- Prepare periodic reports for Huddles meeting, monthly reports, and any other department data analysis that is needed.
- Process customer orders and repairs by following standard processes and procedures; this will include items considered “repair”, “make to order” and “engineered to order”.
- Resolve technical issues related to bills of materials (BOM) and production routers.
- Attend kick-off and hand-off meetings for strategic projects.
- Represent planning department for external audits (ISO 9001, CSA N299.3, others).
- Support annual inventory process.
- Be an active member of the Quality Management System, auditing other departments.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or comparable education.
- 5 years’ experience in a production and scheduling planning role.
- Must have strong SAP knowledge of MRP, RFQ, planned orders, production orders, purchase orders, requisitioning, routing cards and approval workflow.
- S4 Hana experience is a plus.
- Experienced with fast changing demands, especially for emergency service work and repairs.
- Experienced in utilizing continuous improvement in all aspects of the planning / procurement process.
- Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred.
- Production scheduling in a machine shop environment and basic understanding in blueprint reading is a plus.
- APICS Certification a plus.

**Competencies**
- Ability to speak fluently and effectively to customers and employees of the organization.
- Solve practical problems.
- Work on SAP platform.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Work independently or with others as needs arise.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Requires good judgement and a professional demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of materials (metals, etc.) - technical background is a plus.
- English is mandatory, and French is a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
