**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
St. Leonard’s Community Services offers a continuum of social housing services to meet client needs ranging from homelessness to independent living. As part of the continuum, we offer Emergency Shelter Intake Services to support clients in securing emergency accommodations, a warming and cooling centre, the Housing Resource Centre, as well as our emergency shelter, Transitional Housing and Supportive Housing programs.
As part of the warming and cooling centre, clients will be able to seek indoor support for up to 16 hours a day, 365 days a year, including access to showers, laundry, food and hygiene supplies. In addition to this, The Emergency Shelter Intake Services program will operate 24/7 and will be on site for up to 16 hours a day to offer in-person support with connecting clients to available resources including housing services. Overnight, the Emergency Shelter Intake Services will be offered virtually.
As the Emergency Housing Supervisor for the warming and cooling centre and Emergency Shelter Intake Services you will:
- Supervise staff, participate in the recruiting process for program staff and provide guidance in staff performance management;
- Work collaboratively with the Housing Services team in order to ensure program delivery to all clients;
- Prepare monthly statistical reports and billing summaries;
- Integrate a harm reduction approach;
- Develop and evaluate program activities and client groups;
- Assist with the development and implementation of the departmental work plan;
- Facilitate department and sector case management meetings; and
- Support with managing program funding and purchasing of necessary supplies.
Training: Initial comprehensive training related to all aspects of the role, as well as access to ongoing professional development
Our Agency is committed to the safety of staff. We are following Public Health guidance on precautions regarding use of Personal Protective Equipment, screening of staff and clients, physical distancing, cleaning, hand hygiene, and testing. **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
Annual salary: starting at $50,388 plus shift premiums and comprehensive benefits

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Have a college diploma in a Human/Social Services field.
- ave a minimum of 2 years’ combined student placement and/or paid experience working with individuals with substance use, mental health and/or concurrent disorders and/or individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases.
- Have access to reliable transportation.
- Be able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress.
- Be able to make regular visits to uncontrolled environments, such as client homes and public meeting locations. This may include exposure to smoking environments.
