Carpenter (Temporary)

**CARPENTER (temporary)**

T his is a trades position responsible for various construction and maintenance
c oncrete work including pouring sidewalks, curbs, and letdowns, and building concrete
forms.

Qualifications for this position include:

- Completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program and a Trades Certificate of
- Qualification in Carpentry- Several years of carpentry experience including a minimum of 2 years’ experience

doing concrete work including site preparation, forming, mixing placement, early
finishing, troweling, final finishing, and curing for the construction of sidewalks,
curb & gutter, and letdowns for driveway and sidewalk construction
- Valid BC Class 3 Driver’s License (standard transmission with air endorsement)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment fitness evaluation

The current rate of pay for this position is $38.18 per hour. This is a temporary position
for an unknown duration.
