Shipper / Crater

Quest is currently looking for an experienced Shipper / Crater to join our Winnipeg team.

**What You'll Do**:

- Crate Quest products following standard crating procedures
- Ensure products are being wrapped and secured into wood crates
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
- Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned.
- Follow crating procedures to ensure safe and secure arrival of products
- Maintain crating, shipping and transportation documentation in organized matter
- Confirm quantities of goods received and receive in the system; forward paperwork to Accounts Payable, as required.
- Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers.
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- High school diploma
- Carpentry skills (experience making wood crates)
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled in measuring and cutting accurately
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with strict timelines
- Capability of standing on feet for 8 hours per day and lifting moderate/heavy loads
- Concerned with the safety of themselves and of team members
- Working knowledge of safe packing methods.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
