We are seeking a highly experienced Production Supervisor/Planner to join our team. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the over-all coordination of work planning requirement before it hits execution and to supervise different departments of the production in order to meet customer requirements.

**Job Responsibility**

**Job Order Management and Production Planning**:

- Plan and release jobs to production, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and that jobs are released or planned in alignment with the latest part revision updates, job order due dates, and ship dates.
- Ensures shipping plan can meet customer ship dates.
- Manage job order changes, including creating, modifying, and canceling jobs as required, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in the production planning file.
- Monitor, review & track job order status to ensure due dates are met
- Close status of jobs and perform finished goods inventory movement in coordination with Supply Chain team as required.

**Production Oversight and Efficiency**:

- Review and update the production schedule, proactively planning for manpower, tools, and material availability.
- Prepares daily workloads and instructions for lead hands and employees.
- Track the progress of jobs through production prioritizing urgent builds.
- Monitors and validates production procedures on production floor travelers to control plans and submits requests for Engineering Changes (ECN’s) as required.
- Monitor daily efficiencies against standards and request time studies as required.
- Ensure correct information are written by employee on the daily labor card.
- Oversee production quality and address any issues promptly.

**Inventory and Logistics Coordination**:

- Review material availability based on information provided by the Supply Chain department to ensure timely production.
- Monitor and follow up with the Materials Handler any missing or replacement parts required to complete a job.
- Perform inventory transfer from job to stock and issue a picklist to Shipping as required.

**Team Coordination and Leadership**:

- Lead daily and weekly production meetings to align team goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and execute tasks for seamless production flow.
- Provide or coordinate on-the-job training to ensure employees are proficient in their duties, including safety, machine operation, procedures, and housekeeping.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and addressing performance issues as needed.
- Monitor employee attendance, addressing recurring issues as they arise.
- Comply and follow Union Collective Agreement, encourage employees to follow.
- Coordinates with Maintenance coordinator any machinery maintenance, preventive maintenance and machine breakdown.

**Health, Safety, and Compliance**:

- Responsible for the health and safety of employees and monitors the workplace for potential safety risks reporting any concerns to the Production Manager for review.

**Continuous Improvement and Reporting**:

- Lead and/or participate & support in Continuous Improvement projects.
- Perform any other duties or task assigned by Production Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in Production Planning
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
- Skilled in the use of computer systems, in particular Microsoft Excel
- Experience in ERP System
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings
