**Position Overview**
Calian, Advanced Technologies is looking for individuals to join our Assembly team. As an Assembler you will perform tasks related to the production of electronics and their associated products. You will be working in a hands-on environment to fabricate and inspect printed circuit card assemblies, electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and/or cable assemblies. This opportunity is an entry level position and Calian has comprehensive hands-on training to set you up for success in the role.
**Responsibilities**
- Cutting, stripping, and forming cables and/or harness assemblies
- Terminating and installing wires, jumper and connector assemblies
- Preparing, pre-forming, and installing components on innovative projects
- Identifying components, including those which require ESD precautions
- Following prescribed documentation and manufacturing procedures
- Soldering components
- Ensuring a high quality of work by inspecting assembled items and performing simple testing procedures for compliance to standards and drawings
**Qualifications**
- A high school diploma or equivalent (no previous experience required)
- An interest in working in a team environment
- You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
