These cheerful customer service masters are passionate about working with people. They get a kick out of making someone’s day a little brighter, whether it be a member, guest, or colleague. They are team focused and customer service conscious.

These multi-taskers can jump from preparing handcrafted hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas to working the food line, preparing muffins, bagels etc. to working the cash register, all with seamless transition. They also take great pride in maintaining white glove standards when it comes to the cleanliness of the Starbucks area. They have accurate and detailed knowledge of all beverages and food items served. They can think on their feet and effectively use their resources. If they don’t know the answer, they’ll dig until they find it.

As a Café Associate, a typical day might include the following:

- Welcoming all members and guests and taking their orders
- Entering orders into point of sale, receive and process transactions
- Preparing handcrafted, hot, and cold coffee and tea beverages tailored to clients’ specific orders
- Educating members and guests on the menu and making recommendations
- Answer questions regarding the menu, ingredients etc.
- Maintain inventory and replenish supplies
- Work alongside colleagues in a team environment
- Clean and sanitize equipment and seating areas
- Comply with health and safety regulations

To land this role you need to have:

- At least 1+ year in the coffee service industry
- 2+ years in the customer service industry
- Experienced and comfortable with working busy shifts, friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to outstanding customer service
- Post-secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry and additional certifications or workshops relating to customer service are an asset
- All team members must have current CPR/First Aid certification prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually.
- A recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work
