The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects while ensuring consistency with company strategy, HSE and quality policies and program details with commitments and goals. The Project Manager works closely with the project's cost controller to make sure the scope and direction of the project is on schedule and within budget.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assists in defining the scope and objectives of a project, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
- Ensures complete understanding with the contract details and specifications;
- Ensures resource availability and allocation;
- Manages and monitors subcontractor work and schedule;
- Manages internal resources and third parties / vendors;
- Manages equipment, tooling and material deliveries according to the project schedule;
- Develops detailed project plans and monitors / tracks progress;
- Manages any changes to the project scope, schedule and costs;
- Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
- Completes progress completion review and submission for invoicing;
- Performs risk management and site inspections to minimize project risks;
- Ensures HSE and quality standards of the project and the company are being met;
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation;
- Successfully manages the relationship between the client and all stakeholders;
- Guides / monitors project supervision alignment to schedule and planning;
- Adheres to all company workplace policies, standards, procedures and safe work practices; and,
- Assists with developing new safe job procedures and work instructions;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the high voltage electrical construction industry;
- Knowledge and experience in linear project construction;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is an asset;
- Must be willing to travel frequently, working out of remote locations for multiple weeks at a time.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;
- High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines;
- Self-starter and able to work in a team atmosphere;
- Strong leadership and delegation skills;
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills;
- Valid Driver’s License; and,
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
