Wildfire Mitigation Specialist

Reporting to the Emergency Program Coordinator, Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (WMS) will be responsible for facilitating the FireSmart Home Partners Program within their area of designation. Wildfire Mitigations Specialists ensure that homeowners can access detailed FireSmart home assessments which enable residents to reduce their risk of wildfire. Specialists will also attend community events, such as farmers markets and fairs, to provide education and enrolment opportunities in their communities.

This is a seasonal position, likely working from June - October.

Successful applicants who do not already possess the required FireSmart training and certifications will be required to complete mandatory training, dates to be confirmed.
