Maintenance Coordinator

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that the fleet maintenance requirements are accurately identified, recorded, and prioritized within the maintenance system to meet maintenance safety, operational and Driver needs. The Maintenance Coordinator is also expected to be a team player in the maintenance department and able to communicate effectively with mechanics, drivers, outside vendors and Bison's customers.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance to Drivers when a breakdown occurs
- Work order entry
- Creating purchase orders
- Utilizing reports to identify incorrect or problem data using established guidelines
- Communicating exceptions, initiate corrective action, and report and evaluate the action effects.
- Works with Outsourced Maintenance Coordinators to schedule equipment and ensures equipment gets to required shop
- Driver & Customer Relations
- Experience in a maintenance administrative/coordination role
- Excellent organizational skills and record keeping ability
- Strong attention to detail abilities
- Ability to use and learn computer software and programs
- Problem solving ability; recognize, assess, report and provide solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
