**What will you be doing?**

As a **Speech Assistant,** you will work side-by-side with a Speech Language Pathologist and families to provide support and promote the development of children. Responsibilities include:

- Completing follow through on each child’s speech goals.
- Assisting speech and language therapist with implementation.
- Planning and implementing programming based on the needs of the child.
- Effectively communicating and building a relationship with children and families.
- Collaborate with day care team.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
***
- 1-3 years of experience working in the child care field or in a position with children who have diverse learning or developmental delays
- Excellent communication skills
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a driver’s license
- Must meeting province requirements for childcare employment
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
