Selkirk, Canada Red River Co-op Full time

Looking for an exciting career with one of Manitoba's Top Employers? Red River Co-op has an ongoing hiring need for entry level positions in various departments at our Selkirk food store (335 Main Street in Selkirk, MB). Positions include:
**Meat Clerk**
- Maintain sections of merchandise (fresh, smoked, and frozen meat) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Meat Manager.
- Ensure the Meat Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat for sale on self-serve counter.

**Produce Clerk**
- Maintain sections of merchandise (fresh fruit and vegetables, bagged salads, herbs, salad dressings and spreads, value added section, etc.) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Produce Manager.
- Ensure the Produce Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Follow established procedures for trimming and preparation, washing, culling and quality policing, and price marking.
- Prepare fresh value added product as per established Co-op recipes and procedures. Ensure consistency in ingredients used and preparation method at all times.

**Cashiers**
- Operate a cash register, take payment from customers and provide change.
- Deliver fast and friendly service to members and customers.
- Educate customers on the benefits of membership in Red River Co-op and encourage them to join.

All positions involve a high degree of customer contact. Successful applicants must be friendly and polite, and service-oriented.

All applicants must be available to work at least two evenings per week. Weekend availability (Saturdays and Sunday) is important.
