**AREA**:Finance and IT Department**

**CLASSIFICATION**:Purchasing Clerk - Full Time Permanent**

We are seeking an enthusiastic, results oriented person to fulfill the role of Purchasing Clerk. Reporting to the Manager of Finance and part of the Finance & IT Team, KRRC is in a time of change and the role requires someone who has the ability to work with others to drive change and streamline processes, excels in a fast-paced environment and can build strong professional relationships within the organization and with outside contacts.

**POSITION SCOPE**:The scope of the position requires an individual with a proven track record who can manage the organizations purchasing policies, procedures, standards, and strategies in order to ensure process transparency, fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality. Responsibilities include inventory control, price negotiation, planning, managing vendor relationships and assisting in building effective partnerships, conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value to the organization and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximise business efficiency

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of post-secondary education with a focus in accounting, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience with purchasing/inventory control
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. on an on-going basis
- Ability to use non-powered material handling equipment
- Experience within a long-term care environment is an asset
- Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills that will enhance problem solving and decision-making.
- Ability to identify and implement system and process improvements
- Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in approaching issues/concerns and implements best practices.
- Ability to positively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with demanding time-lines
- Above average mathematical, spreadsheet and technological skills
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills;
- Ability to be self-directed, self-motivated, while also working well in a team environment
- Covid-19 Vaccination required
- Required to provide criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
- Comfortable interacting with the residents of KRRC

**SALARY SCALE**:20.37 to 25.46 depending on qualifications**.
