Children's Treatment Group Facilitator

Edmonton, Canada Corinne Eckert Child & Adolescent Psychology Full time

The Training in Core Social Skills program is a fun and well-structured program that helps children and teens gain confidence and skill in social interaction. Working with a team of facilitators and your clinical supervisor, you will be delivering this psychoeducational program to a small group of children or teens, many of whom have clinical diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, anxiety, Tourettes, etc., while also working with your team to provide interventions to support each child in their own individual treatment goals. This position is a part-time position, with programs running on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings from late September
- June. We are seeking individuals to work in our group program starting in the fall of 2023. Time requirement is approximately 4 hours per week, with staff and case conference meetings occasionally. Program runs in 8-9 week terms throughout the school year, with 3-4 weeks break in-between each term. As you become trained in our program, and build your skill, you may also have the opportunity to become a social coach in our 1-1 Social Coaching program, which would entail working one on one with children or teens who need the support of our program but may require a more individualized approach.

At this time, we have paid and unpaid positions available. While providing excellent service for our clients, our clinic is also a training environment for psychology students, at Bachelor, Master's, and PhD level, as well as Provisional Psychologists, seeking a fantastic opportunity to broaden their experience with a clinical population.

Applications without cover letters will not be reviewed.

Those who are unable to commit to facilitating the entire 2023/24 group program (late Sept. - June) may be considered for an unpaid support position.
