**Quality Control Lead - Peterborough, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)**

**About the Opportunity**

A primary responsibility of this role is to develop the team’s skills and engage them to meet goals.

**What will you do?**

Your day to day:

- Functioning as the single point of contact for and managing all quality control related matters.
- Responsible for ongoing training of shop staff, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Managing delivery expectations related to the QC team (e.g. cost & schedule performance)
- Support daily project work by selection of personnel assignments.
- Identifying improvement themes and leading resolution action.
- Work with production team to provide the needed support for the operation, understanding priorities.
- Provide guidance to shop inspectors if needed.
- Administrative duties related to direct-reporting responsibility for all QC technicians and inspectors.
- Driving continuous improvement is expected.

**What will you bring?**

Who you are:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or equivalent years of experience in a technical field, 10 + years.
- Experienced with internal as well as external quality systems and procedures.
- Previous direct management experience of at least 5 people within the past 5 years.
- Understanding of quality assurance methods and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical expertise in: dimensional inspection, NDE, welding, machining, assembly, and testing
