We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:
Elementary School Office Administrator, Term

Manordale Public School

**Position Status**: 100% Term to June 27, 2024

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week; 7:45 am - 3:45 pm

**Effective**: August 28, 2023

**Salary range**: ESP, Level 7 - $41,484 to $53,506 per annum

**Note**: Must have experience with Budgets (Board and in-school accounts); Aspen

Under the direction of the Principal, the Elementary School Office Administrator assists in providing a positive and safe learning environment for all students and staff by: assisting staff, students, parents and the public; ensuring the safety and well-being of students; administering the school office; providing secretarial support; supervising office staff; maintaining student and staff information and records; and administering financial accounts.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of a Secondary School Diploma and Community College certificate in Office Administration, and 4-6 years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered

Familiarity with relevant legislation including the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Immunization of School Pupils Act, and the Ministry of Ontario Student Record (OSR) Guidelines.

Familiarity with Board and school policies and procedures including Board Admissions-Enrolment Guidelines, Board Purchasing Manual, etc.

Proficient in the use of word-processing, database, accounting, software, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, electronic mail, and Student database system;

Ability to operate/administer voice mail system or answering machine and public address system.

Organization and time management skills are required to prioritize work.

Writing skills are required to prepare correspondence/reports.

Communication and interpersonal skills are required to exchange, clarify, understand and respond to inquiries using tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with the public, staff and students and to supervise office staff.

Accounting skills are required to maintain budget.

First Aid certification and the ability to administer first aid.

1. Applications from Regular full-time and part-time employees within ESP bargaining unit are given first consideration.

2. Applications from term and casual employees within ESP bargaining unit are given 2nd consideration.
