**Mold Estimator**

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze customer specifications, CAD files, and technical drawings to determine manufacturing requirements.
- Calculate material costs, labor requirements, and tooling needs for injection-molded parts.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, overhead, and tooling costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Review historical data to enhance estimation accuracy based on current practices.
- Communicate with sales staff and customers to clarify technical requirements and specifications.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and present formal quotations to the Estimating Lead, Sales Team, customers, and management.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and revisions.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold estimation or a related role.
- Strong understanding of mold design processes, tooling, and materials.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files (experience with NX preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and estimation software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Educational background in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with a variety of materials and their processing requirements.
- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001 standards).
- Experience with mold flow analysis tools.

**Physical Requirements**
- Occasional visits to the production floor.
- Extended periods of computer use.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
