**Concernant le rôle**

**RESPONSABILITÉS**:
Diriger des programmes de découverte du médicament en étroite collaboration avec les équipes internes et externes, y compris des CRO ;

Mettre en œuvre et conduire des stratégies innovantes de découverte de médicaments en utilisant une expertise approfondie dans la conception de voies de chimie médicinale et de chimie synthétique, grâce à une connaissance approfondie du DMPK, de la pharmacologie et de la toxicologie ;

Appliquer des principes modernes de conception de médicaments pour résoudre les problèmes de chimie médicinale pertinents pour le projet ;

Utiliser des méthodologies et des techniques synthétiques de pointe pour concevoir des synthèses de composés cibles pour les séries chimiques existantes et les nouvelles séries ;

Atteindre les objectifs du projet en lien avec ceux du client ;

Gérer des chefs d'équipe internes et des équipes de scientifiques de synthèse ;

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Doctorat en chimie organique de synthèse ou chimie médicinale avec plus de 10 ans d'expérience dans la découverte de médicaments dans un environnement pharmaceutique et/ou biotechnologique ;
- Expert en chimie médicinale avec une excellente compréhension de la biologie, de la pharmacologie, du DMPK et la capacité d'intégrer ces disciplines pour assurer une progression réussie du projet ;
- Expérience en conception structurelle et en gestion de projet ;
- Solide connaissance et expérience des méthodes de synthèse actuelles ;
- Excellentes compétences en rédaction, présentation et communication (orales et écrites) ;
- Excellentes compétences en leadership et expérience de travail dans un environnement multidisciplinaire dynamique ;
- Capacité démontrée à dépanner et à résoudre les problèmes de manière créative ;
- Bonne maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint) ;

**About the role**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Lead drug discovery programs in effective collaboration with internal and external teams, including CROs;

Implement and drive innovative drug discovery strategies utilizing deep expertise across medicinal chemistry and synthetic chemistry route design, through comprehensive knowledge of DMPK, pharmacology, and toxicology;
- Utilize cutting-edge synthetic methodologies and techniques to design syntheses of target compounds within existing and novel chemical series ;
- Achieve the project objectives in line with those of the client;
- Manage internal team leaders and teams of medicinal and synthetic chemists;

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- PhD in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry with 10+ years of drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology environment;
- Medicinal Chemistry expert with excellent understanding of biology, pharmacology, DMPK and ability to integrate these disciplines toward successful project progression;
- Experience in structure-based drug design;
- Project management experience;
- Strong knowledge of and experience in current synthetic methodologies;
- Excellent written and oral, presentation and communication skills;
- Great leadership skills and experience working in dynamic multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and creatively in solving problems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
