We are looking for a **Hydraulic Technician.**

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, this position is responsible for hydraulic assembly and testing of winches, marine cranes and power units. The position summary is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.
- Review engineering drawings to validate proper hydraulic components compatibility including hoses, blocks, valves, fittings.
- Ensure installation of hydraulic systems follow best cleanliness practices
- Set and configure hydraulic valves
- Assemble hydraulic hoses in accordance with equipment design requirements
- Demonstrate good system level knowledge of hydraulic systems (closed and open loop)
- Pipe up, run and test new hydraulic equipment
- Train, monitor and check hydraulic plumbing performed by Mechanical Technicians
- Participate in factory acceptance testing of finished equipment
- Utilize overhead cranes, and lift trucks to transfer and manufacture equipment
- Analyze hydraulic malfunctions and repair, rebuild and maintain hydraulic components

**ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK**
- Fluid Power Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, and/or equivalent experience
- Hydraulic/fluid power courses
- Previous experience in assembling hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to determine proper size fittings, adaptors, hose and hose ends
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of hydraulic systems
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a co-operative group atmosphere
- Possess clear written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to work overtime as required
- Ability to work well independently as well as with a team
