About the Unit
We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change. Responsibilities
The Territory Manager will utilize their demonstrated skills in questioning, active listening, agronomy and business to uncover solutions that meet the needs of the retail and farm customers. The Territory Manager will work in close cooperation with the other team members in the defined territory to actively pursue opportunities to position Yara’s crop nutrition solutions through meeting with retails, consultants, setting up demonstration trials, attending field days, trade shows and farmer meetings as well as bring farmer and retail insight into the development of new products and services.
Develop relationship with customers and determine needs through demonstrated sales skills.
Drive sales by creating demand at the retail and farmer level and execute on the business plan in the defined territory.
Be a resource and provide presence for Yara crop nutrition programs and products at retail local level as well as at farm level.
Maintain and populate a CRM database to capture market knowledge and relevance of Yara crop solutions.
Work with a broad team to execute business strategies.
Provide information on crop nutrition and biological trends as far as crops, customers, digital and competitor activity.
Generate insights of farmer practices for development of content for digital promotion & newsletters that engage farmers and retails. Education, Experience & Skill
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, ag related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) preferred
Minimum of 3 years in similar role and industries, preferably with value added products and/ or biostimulant exposure
Experience making presentations to small or large audiences.
Travel within defined territory requiring a valid driver’s license.
Proven sales record
Strong market knowledge
Strong organization and planning skills
Strong communication and influencing skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as digital tools, such as Twitter, and Facebook Be Part of Our Team
