**Missions and Responsibilities**
The primary role of this position is to provide support to the Metal Fabrication, Marketing and Supply Chain teams. The incumbent is responsible for developing and standardizing a consistent process that creates further efficiencies for the Supply Chain team and Inventory Control Center (ICC) as well as the management of our Item Master (IM), while adhering to and promoting ALC’s safety and quality objectives.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Item management: Creates and manages our IM database in Oracle R12. Ensures uniqueness of parts and avoidance of duplication in IM. Uses strong knowledge of operations, manufacturer and vendor products and part numbers, to ensure IM description contains accurate information. Develops and delivers monthly reporting and audit of item master data for accuracy and status (e.g. Active, Discontinued, Obsolete). Assist in new item creation. Manages all obsolete/discontinued items. Acts as the single-point-of-contact for resolution of any fallout reported from the field Supply Chain organization in regards to Unit of Measure, manufacturer part number discrepancies or other issues. Assists in synchronization of the vendor database.
- Inventory control center (ICC): Responsible for rapid response and resolution for supply chain requests from across all Canadian regions. This includes but is not limited to: placing rush purchase orders with vendors, organizing transfers of stock between locations, creating and managing replenishment parameters and inventory adjustments, providing ETAs for sales orders and being the intermediary between the warehouse/supplier and sales teams for shipment issues (and the point-of-contact for resolution of such issues).

**Competencies and Profile** TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE**
- Diploma: Bachelor’s degree in business (Business Or Marketing)
- Training: Oracle, Excel, Access, Google (Docs, Sheet, Presentation)
- Knowledge: Good analytical skills, strong organizational and training skills, results oriented, bilingual in French and English, strong communication and computer skills.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years experience in Purchasing or Database Management
