We are looking for a General Machinist to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate production machinery and computers
- Perform equipment inspections
- Responsible for quality control; produce product within specifications; Reject product outside of specifications
- Operate within standard operating procedures SOPs and job safety analysis JSAs
- Operate forklift, overhead cranes, or mobile yard cranes (if qualified)
- Complete daily production timecard through MES-Epicor
- Perform daily preventive maintenance PMS on production machinery or tools
- Clean and maintain work area, including back lot
- Turn off equipment when not in use. In the event of equipment failure, lock out equipment
- Interpret drawings of parts to be manufactured to specifications
- Maintain manual machines, and report any issues to management
- Troubleshoot different set ups required for rolling specialized/custom bolts
- Organize and keep track of stock material in the shop and put in requests to purchase when required
- Maintain a safe, clean and hazard free work environment
- Work with management to keep orders organized and manufactured on time
- Promote Almex Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Guidelines

**Requirements**:

- High school degree or equivalent
- CNC experience an asset
- Experience in manual lathe and mill
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid communication skills and a willingness to support the other team members as required
- Basic computer skills
