**PSA Halifax **is recruiting for an **HSSE Coordinator**
PSA Halifax Limited Partnership (PSA Halifax) is a container terminal operator owned and operated by PSA International. With natural deep water, capability to handle any sized vessel, year-round ice-free access, and a management team with diverse international experience, PSA Halifax is the container terminal of choice on Canada's East Coast. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly successful and leading container terminal operation in the East Coast of Canada.
**Purpose**:
The primary function of the HSSE Coordinator is to support the HSSE Team of PSA Halifax to deliver and maintain the safety and security programs and to provide high-quality administrative and clerical assistance.
**Principal Accountabilities**
- Provides administrative support to the HSSE Team, including but not limited to preparation of presentations, correspondence, schedule meetings, and posting internal and external notices relating to matters of safety and security.
- Assist in planning and implementation of various safety initiatives such as Safety Week, Safety Day, campaigns highlighting different aspects of safety and security.
- Manage training plan for safety and security for all personnel.
- Act as the administrative point of contact between the HSSE Team, Operations, Engineering, and external Stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date metrics within QuickBase and GIM's.
**Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience**
- Five years proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive)
- Strong organizational, project management and planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making skills.
- Forward thinking and creative with good communication skills;
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Reliable and task-oriented, self-motivated, and professional.
- Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
