Under the Direction of the Divisional Information Technology Manager, the IT Technician will support, maintain, and implement divisional technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site and remote technical support.
- Install and configure hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Provide technical training to staff as required.
- Maintain excellent communication with the Divisional Information Technology Manager on all tasks and projects.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Assist on projects or special initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Divisional Information Technology Manager.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a suitable combination of training and experience.
- A minimum of four years' experience supporting information systems and/or providing end-user support.
- A valid class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge in any of the following would be an asset:
- Active Directory
- Patching and working with Cat5/6 cables
- Office 365
- VOIP phone systems
- IP Surveillance systems
- iPads in school settings
- AirWatch/inTune MDM
- Digital signage
- SmartBoards / Interactive displays
- Wi-Fi configuration and management
- VMware / Hyper-V
Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Regsitry Check will be required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $31.01 per hour
