**Position Overview**:

- Acts as a receptionist for the Resident Care Unit. Performs clerical duties for the Resident Unit and assists members of the heath team with specified duties.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Unit\Ward Clerk is required.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Grade XII.
- Unit Clerk certification required.
- Medical terminology required.
- It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of training.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Accurate, effective communication in English required.
- Legible handwriting. Computer experience an asset.
- Demonstrated keyboard skills required.
- Typing essential 40 wpm.
- Works within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures.
- Works cooperatively with others.
- Works in an organized manner.
- Ability to cope in stressful situations.
