**Description**

We are currently sourcing an Underground Construction Superintendent to work on our project sites on a full-time basis, with availability to work in the Saskatoon Office location when needed for planning, business development, and estimating purposes.

**Underground Construction Superintendent**

The Underground Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the following:

- Plan and manage scope, budget, and schedule for underground and shaft construction projects, including installation of structural steel, concrete, mechanical equipment, and piping.
- Contribute positively to continuously develop company safety values, culture, and systems.
- Assist or lead estimating efforts.
- Prepare and issue progress reports and schedules to other company leaders.
- Supervise the activities of assigned subordinates and subcontractors.
- Direct and implement quality control management programs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Perform any other reasonable job tasks as requested.

**Terms of Employment**
Full-time, permanent. Schedule contingent on project location, intended to ensure appropriate work-life balance.

**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or certification as a Red Seal Journeyperson in a relevant trade.
- Underground Supervisor certification from a Canadian provincial jurisdiction.
- P.Eng, AScT, and/or PMP or working towards accreditation.
- A minimum of 10 years working in underground mining and mine shafts, with specific experience in significant steel and mechanical installation projects.
- Exposure to underground development projects in hard rock environments.
- Proven leadership experience as shown by progressively responsible roles.
- Significant mining industry connections.
- Leadership for Safety Excellence training and certification.
- A commitment to professional development.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to working safely and providing effective leadership in a team environment.
- A positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
- A valid driver’s license for site travel needs.
