**The Derrick Golf and Winter Club was established in 1959 and is Edmonton's finest family club with a variety of athletic facilities, aquatics, badminton, 18-hole championship golf course, and a variety of Food and Beverage facilities. **Job Summary**

Reporting to the Childcare Coordinator, the Childcare Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, caring and, enjoyable environment to children from 8 weeks to 6 years of age. Successful applicants will have a history of commitment to providing quality childcare and a passion for customer service. Applicants should also be highly energetic and enthusiastic individuals who work well in teams and individually.

**Part Time Position: Monday-Friday (9:00AM-2:00PM) for an average of 25 hours a week**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- May be required to lead or co-lead preschool programs and day camp activities
- Actively supervise children while following our Child Guidance Policy
- Facilitate age-appropriate activities (including crafts and games both inside and outside) and integrating international development education in all areas
- Greet and have clear communication with members during drop-off and pick-up
- Work with parents about their concerns and demands and collect forms from families.
- Consistently deliver high quality service by maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with staff, members, and volunteers
- Ensure all administrative duties related to child minding and members are accurately completed as assigned by the coordinator
- Ensure all safety documents are completed accurately, all sign-in and out procedures for parents are followed, and staff is following head counts and maintaining ratios
- Comply with the Club’s emergency response and procedures by; participating in an annual review of emergency procedures, take action as needed to ensure a safe work environment for staff and members
- Notify the manager on duty if any emergency or serious problems arise
- May be required to be involved in other Club Events

**Qualifications**

**Education and Experience**:

- Early Childhood Certification, minimum Level 2, and at least two (2) years related work experience
- Valid First Aid CPR Level C Certificate
- Current Vulnerable Police Check

- Advanced written and spoken communication
- Highly organized and adaptable to change
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
