Library Students

**POSITION**:Library Students (Competition #2023-34)**

**LOCATION**: Ingersoll Library, Tillsonburg Library and Outreach locations across Oxford County

**EMPLOYMENT STATUS**: Contract Full-Time (2 vacancies)

**REPORTING TO**: Outreach/Teen Librarian

**UNION AFFILIATION**: Non-Union

**WAGE RATE**: $18.00/hr

**Hours of Work**: Monday-Friday, however flexibility will be needed for occasional weekend and evening shifts

Student employment commences in May 2023 and ends at the beginning of September 2023.

Promoting awareness of library programs and services and working with children and teens. Involved in Ox on the Run (our mobile presence at parks, splash pads, and other community spots). Assisting with the Summer Reading Program - ordering supplies, assembling craft kits, and helping with virtual and in-person programs. May be working indoors and outdoors.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program with an emphasis on community engagement would be an asset.
- Experience with robotics and Maker Culture an asset
- An interest and passion for supporting the community and the Oxford County Library
- A Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.
- To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the Fall of 2023.
- You are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- You are currently enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and will be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the Fall of 2023.
- Your driving record from last year is still acceptable (if applicable)
