Halifax, Canada North Street Pizzeria Full time

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook pizza dough and toppings according to our menu and customer specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure that all food items are appropriately stored and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of other menu items as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed promptly and efficiently.
- Follow established recipes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of food products.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a pizza cook or similar role.
- Knowledge of pizza-making techniques and recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Physical Demands:

- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take orders from customers and process payments.
- Answer customer questions about menu items and provide recommendations as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders and communicate any special requests to kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
- Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain accurate cash drawer records.
- Assist with general restaurant duties as needed, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive customer experience.

- Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.

**Salary**: $14.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS B3K 1N2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
