**Location**: Calgary, Alberta

**Reports to**: Manager, Reporting

**Purpose**

The Operations Analyst will be primarily responsible for reporting, analysis and explanation of capital spending and operations performance.

**Main Responsibilities & Activities**:

- Support the reporting team through the analysis of volumes, capital, operating costs, and revenues
- Gather data / information, complete analysis and provide explanations for capital and operating variances
- Collaborate with business units to coordinate accurate and timely submission of accruals and analysis
- Develop and present information to facilitate decision making at various levels within the Company
- Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including updates to accruals and internal presentations
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual Management Discussion and Analysis
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information and analysis, assist with special projects as required

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Relevant post-secondary education is required, accounting designation considered an asset
- Relevant oil and gas accounting and operations analysis experience is required, minimum 3 to 5 years
- Highly motivated individual who shows initiative and is focused on achieving results while contributing to a positive, can-do culture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
