We also work with grocery retailers, mass merchandisers, drug channel, and food service customers across the country to create and produce a wide variety of private label branded products.

**Overview**: The focus of this role is on analyzing Finance Department reporting processes across North American network for the purpose of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of internal management reporting consolidation and external regulatory compliance reporting.

**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Understand in detail: present finance department reporting workflows, controls, consolidation processes within each and across disciplines, and internal/external stakeholder needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data and reporting remittance.
- Review and collaborate with Finance Team leads on the implementation of process, procedure, and workflow continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate with the Finance team in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve and harmonize existing ERP solutions and systems.
- Collaborate with functional (Operations, Procurement, Commercial, HR) stakeholders to understand finance reporting needs, provide support, and ensure timeliness and quality of delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely adherence to accounting, reports, and schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and external audiences (compliance).
- Ensure compliance with financial transaction reporting standards/control and reconciliation of accounts (balance sheet/P&L).
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and implement risk mitigation strategies by industry standards.
- Analyze AR, AP, credit, and collection strategies with a focus on improving working capital.
- Work with VP Finance to meet Board reporting requirements.
- Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis and ensure accuracy and alignment with corporate submissions monthly and ad hoc requests.
- Provide internal guidance on accounting issues; liaise with internal groups, external auditors, and ownership.
- Assist in projects and initiatives where required.

**Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements**:

- University degree in Business Administration and/or Finance.
- CPA Designation is a must.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Accounting and Financial Reporting experience.
- Strong knowledge of International Reporting Standards and Canadian regulations.
- Highly advanced excel and financial modelling skills.
- Understanding of Consumer-Packaged Goods Sales/Manufacturing business model.
