**Downing’s Contracting Ltd (DCL) **is a concrete and landscape company based in Burnaby, BC, working projects throughout Greater Vancouver. We are an expanding company with room for growth and promotion. We are currently seeking a reliable and flexible **Construction Labourer** to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out general construction labour tasks including demolition, excavation and disposal of materials.
- Assist Formwork Carpenter with their duties including measure and cut material accurately and assemble and install formwork structures.
- Spread, rake, and finish concrete.
- Correctly use electrical, air-powered, and regular hand tools, such as saws, hammers, drills, and nail guns, to construct and fasten formwork.
- Ensure safety procedures and regulations are followed at all times

**Skills Required**:

- 1-2 years construction/labourer experience
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks as needed
- Experience with Skid Steer or mini excavator is an asset
- Proper use and care of tools and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Work as a team and treating others and your workspace with respect
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

**Other requirements**:

- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, flexible and good work ethic
- Willingness to learn

**Salary**: From $22.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
